My Students

I will be instructing students from a low-income area of Philadelphia. They are kids that have to grow up fast to survive in their neighborhoods. The basic needs of these students are a struggle for families to meet and the wants of these students are typically not met. They are children that need the love and support from donors like you to help them have academic success.

These students come from different living situations and some are with foster families or in shelters.

The students expect their teacher to provide all supplies in a given school year from pencils, glue, crayons, markers, paper (copy and lined), books, scissors, eraser, the list goes on and on. I also typically spend $500 of my own money in a given year for supplies and basic health needs, but donors like you make a difference by allowing me to meet their needs and wants through an academic school year. By giving to my classroom you will provide these kids with a level playing field for them to compete with the suburban schools in the surrounding area that are fully funded and families are able to provide supplies to their children.

My Project

These supplies will help my students obtain the basic needs of their education. They come to school with no supplies and it is my job to purchase items for them.

We need pencils and folders to get them started for the school year.

I also am requesting chart paper and some other basic supplies that will help make my classroom a great place to prepare and learn.
