Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The 2026-2027 school year is my 26th year in the classroom, and I am teaching 3rd Grade for the second year in a row!

I push my students to challenge themselves to think critically, develop conceptual understanding, and make connections between classroom subjects and the real world!

This project will provide my students with 12-sided polyhedral dice, books, flashcards, and sheet protectors to create hands-on activities to help them master their multiplication facts, which is a math standard for all 3rd Graders (3.OA.7). I love to use polyhedral dice in my hands-on math activities because dice always make math more fun! The sets of polyhedral dice in this project will be split into pairs for students to take home, and keep at home, for fun, hands-on multiplication fact practice. The jumbo set of dice will make classroom math games fun and exciting for my students. Nothing says fun, hands-on practice like huge foam dice! The sheet protectors will be used to make multiplication game mats for additional at-home practice activities. The triangle flashcards include an array visual, which will help students tie their multiplication facts to the visual models they need to understand to master their multiplication facts and commit them to memory. Finally, the 3 math picture books will help bring multiplication and division concepts to life for my students!
