My Students

I have a class of twenty kindergarten students. They are five or six years old. These children come to school each day eager to learn and happy to be here.

Our school is a K-5 school in a community school district, close to a military base.

It is made up of many students from diverse backgrounds from different parts of our country and beyond.

Our school has numerous individuals who are in need of additional assistance. We are thankful for programs such as DonorsChoose.org to assist our classrooms to make more enriching learning environments for these children and all who attend.

My Project

At our school, I have not had the opportunity to have a large classroom size genuine dry erase magnetic board in our classroom. This type of board would be a wonderful addition to my teaching and as well as my students' learning tools.

Students always run to our smaller dry erase board to work on math facts and letter writing but there is only enough room for two students.

I am sure that a larger magnetic board would be very beneficial in allowing my students to work with each other during their independent learning station. It would also allow me to display learning tools used in lessons.
