Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our elementary school is composed of TK-5th grade. We are considered a school-wide Title I school and all students qualify for free lunch. Our school population is comprised of 98% Latino students, and we have a high percentage of English Language Learners. For some of my students, this is their first schooling experience. More than half of my students are English Language Learners.

My Project

My project is for students to have magnetic charts to help them share during language arts and math whole group instruction time. The giant magnetic early writing page will help them keep their writing straight and neat when sharing on the whiteboard.

The magnetic number of the day chart will be used by the student of the day when we introduce a new number to review.

The Math Write Wipe Activity charts will be used for students to visually see place value. The magnetic pockets will be for the students to keep their math materials when sharing on the whiteboard.
