My Project

My third graders study forces and motion every year in our physical science unit. It is very popular and encourages hands on learning and exploring.

We need a variety of magnets to enable students to explore the properties and effects of magnetism in a fun and engaging way.

Through hands-on exploration, my students will deepen their understanding and make connections that just aren't made by reading about the subject of magnetism.

Students will be able to learn about attraction, repulsion, magnetic poles, and how magnets are used to solve every day problems. They will be able to work both individually and collaboratively, use scientific inquiry, and by incorporating engineering activities, they will be able to create projects using the force of magnetism.

Science should be fun....and memorable. Help foster a life long interest and not just magnetism, but science itself.

Ms. Pace will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by August 24.
