Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is special because of the students who are in it. I have students who have been told that they are limited because of learning disabilities or economic hardship. Recently added to their educational disparity is a natural disaster and a pandemic!

My Project

This is an exciting program that I am looking forward to attending. As the gifted and talented teacher and as a special educator, I think the variety of resources offered in this institute will help me tailor my curriculum to meet the diverse needs of my students. In addition, by attending this institute, we will procure a Botball robot. This will cause my students’ interest to skyrocket, thus, driving their motivation to learn. The 2021 Makerspace festival will benefit my students because I will bring back the ability to help them discover something they did not know before. By doing this, I am helping them become lifelong learners. Additionally, I will be able to provide guidance and ideas to other educators, benefitting their students as well.

Success could just be a matter of someone giving us a chance.

Everyone needs to be good at something. Especially when we are young, it seems like we try so many things and can never be successful. Providing diverse opportunities will empower our students to find their niche and drive them to learn on their own!
