This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Thank you to Erick V.V. for donating $50 to kick off another science project. My students are naturally curious explorers who thrive when they can see the "magic" of the world explained through the lens of science. In our multi-subject classroom, they crave hands-on challenges that bridge the gap between abstract concepts and real-world application. What makes them truly special is their ability to collaborate and turn a simple lesson into a collective discovery. These Maglev Train kits will be transformative by allowing my students, now and in future years, to visualize the invisible laws of physics, turning magnetic forces into a tangible, floating reality right before their eyes. Instead of simply reading about the future of transportation in a textbook, they will become active engineers, experimenting with friction, balance, and propulsion.

**By providing these specific kits, you are giving my students the tools to move beyond theory and into the realm of practical engineering and critical thinking.** My primary goal for this project is to foster a deep-seated confidence in my students as they troubleshoot and refine their own working models.

I want them to walk away with a functional understanding of electromagnetism and the kinetic energy required for high-speed travel. Ultimately, this project is designed to turn our classroom into a dynamic laboratory where every student has the opportunity to build and test technology, fostering a lifelong passion for innovation that will serve them long after they leave my classroom.

Also they asked me what the meaning of life was and I told them "42" - now a group wants to read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy to figure out what I was talking about.
