This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Our International Baccalaureate school community consists of mainly East-African and Middle Eastern first generation American students and newcomers, most of whom qualify for free and reduced lunch services. Our school works to create a learning environment in which diverse students develop a love of learning and become responsible, compassionate, and creative global citizens.I meet with students from Kindergarten to 6th grade each week as their visual arts teacher. I quite possibly have the best job in the world, and our artists LOVE making art each and every week.
Whether its printmaking, clay sculpting, or painting masterpieces, every artist makes beautiful messes.
Our art room is in need of some gear to help keep our uniforms clean while we create! We do not have any art smocks and I know moms/dads would appreciate the laundry help. We love creating and would truly appreciate the support!
