This school year is off to an amazing start. I have a wonderful group of students that work hard to do their personal best. There are 5 girls and 15 boys in my class. My students work in cooperative groups on a daily basis. They have many opportunities to have productive academic conversations.
I want my students to find the joy in mathematical concepts.
It is important that they understand the value and can find math to be fun. I would like to introduce them to more possibilities of enjoyable math. In my experience, when students like what they are doing they are more likely to want to do it again. The more often students practice math skills, the more likely they are to gain a true understanding.
Everyone wants to do something they find to be fun. This school year I want to help develop a sense of magic in math. I would love for my students to think of math as something they enjoy doing. It is important for students to want to be at school.
If students believe they will get an opportunity to learn in a way that allows them to have fun then they are more likely to want to be part of the learning environment.
My students are all at different places in their understanding of math. These math games will allow my students to find some common ground in different math concepts. They will be able to help each other understand math while having fun!
