This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember what it felt like to pick up a book and not be able put it down? Many of my students feel that way when they pick up a Magic Tree House book.

I teach 5th grade.

Many of my students are second language learners with a third grade reading level. They are smart, creative, and have tons of potential. Unfortunately, I have a limited class library for them to choose books from. I currently have three Magic Tree House books, and I believe each child has read them all.

My Project

Having a class library full of Magic Tree House books will extend my students reading choices and raise their reading level. The books are interesting, engaging, and my students love them! I could use the books for small group instruction, literacy circles, and much more!

Students' education and lives will be better when they have books that they can read on their own.

There is nothing like seeing a child's imagination grow through reading. Literacy is the best gift we can give our children and our students!
