This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our school is located in Macon, GA. My students are 25 five and six year-old creative, active learners, who need space and time to learn through play. Watching them grow and learn throughout the year is pure magic! As their teacher, I provide many opportunities for them to learn in ways that best fit their individual needs! We are full of energy, excitement for learning, and ready to have the best Kindergarten year ever! Please help me provide resources and supplies to facilitate their learning in a warm, loving environment!

My Project

My Kindergarten students would love to have an opportunity to sit and learn through play on a new magic carpet, where each student will have their own spot! They will be taken to magic places through read-loud stories, and have an opportunity to interact with lessons with whiteboards and the interactive panel from the carpet. They will also participate in cooperative activities and build social emotional skills. They will be able to dance and sing in their own defined space. They will have the opportunity to have a magic carpet work space. Please help provide a carpet to create a magic, warm inviting learning environment for Kindergarten! Thank you!
