Help me give my students literacy squares to create an area to learn and engage with each lesson.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our Title I school is found in a culturally diverse, urban neighborhood in Brooklyn. The anticipated students will be in our school’s very first dual language kindergarten classroom. There will be approximately 25 students enrolled in the classroom.
Our school will serve children from all cultures, walks of life, whom most come from a low-socioeconomic income household; students who are looking for the opportunity to learn and thrive within the district.
Because the school is new, funding for special teaching materials such as a royal reading/writing teaching cart like the one being funded.
My Project
Our square carpets will help us stay focused and on task. We will be using our 12x12 rugs to remain socially distant, while staying engaged in the everyday lessons. During class, especially during morning meeting, it will be easier for our kindergarteners to independently grab a square and find a comfortable spot in front of the promethean board.
Our new magic squares will help us stay engaged with our teacher and support our learning!
It will help facilitate learning throughout each lesson of the day that requires students to socially engage, while also staying at a safe distance from each other.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
