My Students

Kindergarten is an extension of the family experience and this begins first thing in the morning at circle time. Circle time provides a time for the student to bond with each other and share their thoughts and feelings.

I teach in a Title One school and most of the children live in very low socio-economic conditions.

I want my children to feel pride and success from their learning experiences. My goal is to provide them with the same learning opportunities that are given to those in a higher socio-economic community.

My Project

My goal is to provide a warm, calm, secure, aesthetic environment in which the imagination and creativity of the child will flourish. The quality of the environment is integral to the learning of a child. The ABC/Shape rug I am requesting will help the student's learn new concepts and provide a way to help them stay organized during circle time. They will each have a sitting space and will know exactly where to be seated during our bonding time.

I cannot stress upon you the importance of the morning circle time.

Your donation will provide an environment that encourages personal sharing and bonding. It will provide my students with a sense of belonging in a warm, caring environment.
