This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are enthusiastic second graders eager to learn and grow each day. They are always striving to learn new things. Each student is confident in their learning. They love to play outside, dance and have computer time.

My students are inquisitive, compassionate, and creative.

In our class we love story read aloud time and centers. The students enjoy group projects with friends. Learning through play and interacting with other students.

They are fearless in their learning and look forward to each activity.

My Project

We will use this area to take virtual field trips and story time as we embrace new experiences. This carpet will allow my students a place to sit comfortably. They are able to sit with a partner and buddy read. I have found that students are more likely to dive deep into a book if they are comfortable.

The flexibility of the sitting will allow for a more engaged student learning experience.

Students are more engaged in activities when they are comfortable. The ability to be comfortable ensures less distractions during lessons allowing for a more productive learning experience each day.
