Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This is my school's third year participating in the Disney Musicals in Schools program. I have the incredible opportunity as the Production Director to work with some of the most talented students at my school. We have some amazing fourth and fifth graders participating in our school's third musical!
Our students in our school's musical are incredible performers learning what it takes to put on a show.
They are developing perseverance, endurance and a love for the arts. They each have a natural talent and desire to be a part of such a big project. In the end, our entire school community is looking forward to see the show come to life!
My Project
This year, we have an amazing opportunity to perform our production of "Aladdin Kids!" at a local community church on their stage. The stage has lights and sound in a large auditorium setting. Our stage crew members are going to get to experience working with the tech, and the cast will have a chance to use a stage that will elevate our production to the next level.
We want our whole school community to get a chance to see the production for our school day performances and our evening performance.
This means we need to coordinate some school buses to serve at shuttles for our cast, crew, and the rest of the school. We hope our production will be amazing for both the performers and our audience.
