Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am writing this proposal because I teach fourth grade students who are lacking science resources. They are taking a fourth grade manipulative citywide test and I would love for them to have the opportunity to experiment with science with their hands. I am asking for a hands-on science kit that will allow my students the opportunity to experience first hand what real scientists work on in an every day situation. I work for an underfunded school that has a 92% poverty rate. I teach all subjects at this school and as a fourth grade teacher would love to get my hands on this kit. I really want my students to have the same opportunities that other school districts have. They have an even more valid reason to get funding for these materials because they would benefit greatly.
