My Students

My students are making a valiant attempt to learn from home but it is extremely difficult. They are sometimes asked to take on the role of parent to watch or teach younger siblings. There is also a lack of food not always filled by the food banks or the school. Many of them struggle with poor Internet and lack of technology.

The worst part is the feeling of isolation.

They get the socialization at school and right now, they are feeling alone and unmotivated!

My Project

I never imagined that I would find myself remotely teaching from home and that my students would be learning new material through video conferencing calls and recorded home videos. We are charging forward and looking at it as a learning opportunity for all!

A MacBook would give me the opportunity to use all the video conferencing available to us!

We want to be able to share the screen, protect ourselves from hackers and keep the Ethernet connection strong. The MacBook is a great vehicle for all these reasons and more!
