Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach PE to students in grades K-5 in a multicultural school that celebrates diversity. My students enjoy running, racing, biking, bowling, dancing, and tennis. They also enjoy reading, math, and playing foursquare and basketball at recess.

All the students at my school are able to eat breakfast at school for free.

Many students are bilingual. A few don't speak English but are making progress every day.

Students at my school are back at school in a new building. In the spring, half attended remotely. This is the first time that all the students are attending for the entire day, including lunch. This year, lunch is free for everyone!

My Project

Masks are required at school. Having these masks to be set aside for young students who need the adjustable ear loops will be wonderful. Although there were many who liked these kinds of masks a few weeks ago, there were a few students who tried them on but didn't like them. But now that we know about adjustable ear loop holders and mask extenders, these masks will be more comfortable to wear.

Having mask extenders and adjustable mask holders for students will help students' masks fit better, no matter what kind of mask they choose to wear.
