Help me give my students access to college with a product we tested last year for testing preparation. Albert.io - The AP Tests need a lot of practice, and the free websites are often a waste of time.
We are a diverse school for culture and income. Our school is 51% white and 49% non white ( 6% Black - 26% Latino). Our students are also very diverse on the middle and low income scale. Our attendance area schools have 40% of students on free and reduced lunch. Our area does not include any of the top 40 highest income zipcodes as compiled by the Local Business Journal. Compare us with the most affluent school with: 1% of black students - 9% on free and reduced lunch - and the Median home price of $600,000 and 4 of the top 4 richest zip codes in the area.
We have over 30 different languages, 87% percent of our students graduate on time.
91% average daily attendance, and 18 Advanced Placement classes.
This Albert.io software helps students study computer Science and other AP test topics. Every year, we renew our student subscriptions of 50 students. Last year, we had several Computer Coding students pass AP Tests with the score of a perfect 5! Many of these 5 star students did independent study and never even took a formal AP study course. This software helps them pass AP tests, learn coding, and get scholarships to coding colleges.
We know it seems expensive, but helping these 50 students with test prep software costs only $10 per student.
This software is used year round. It goes beyond testing season. It's a great value for the price. I can think of no greater gift to our low and high income students who have the sponge-like work ethic to take on the challenge of AP testing. My own gut feeling is that this helps the low income students far more than students of a high income. The double win is that all students benefit. I can promise you that these 50 accounts will go to our low income students first, and remaining accounts will then be opened up to all other students.
