Help me give my students supplies that represent their beauty and diversity. My students will celebrate their differences and love the skin they're in using crayons and markers that represent them.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach 4th grade at a Title I school in Greece NY. My students come from very diverse and culture rich backgrounds. My students show up each day with a smile on their face ready to learn. I would like to provide them with a classroom stocked with the necessities for success. I also want to supply my students with supplies that represent each one of them. I want to celebrate all of the differences that make up our classroom.
My students deserve to start the year out with a classroom of supplies that represent them!
My Project
My classroom is comprised of a beautifully diverse group of students who all need to be represented. This representation can take the form of many things from books, to songs, right down to daily supplies.
This project will allow my students to draw pictures of themselves and classmates with out mixing colors, using the wrong color, and just feeling like they don't belong.
This project will allow my students to further celebrate all of the wonderful colors of our classroom. Diversity is what makes up all uniquely special, and that should be celebrated. I want my students to love and celebrate the differences that make us all beautiful.
