Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach 25, grade 3 students from a variety of different backgrounds. The students come from high-poverty families and I would like for them to receive an equal education like many other students in the school district. They always get excited when they can learn in fun and different ways.

My Project

The items I chose will greatly help my students in advancing their fluency and comprehension. The kits I chose will allow students to work in small groups with other students to create a fun and stimulating learning experience that will help them gain confidence in their individual fluency reading as well as becoming more independent when answering comprehension questions.

Learning is greatly advanced when the students get to work with one another and are more likely to learn new things from their peers.

They have fun while learning and are not as afraid of making mistakes and being corrected by their peers than the teacher.
