My Project

I teach a very small and unique population of Deaf and hard of hearing students. Many of my students are learning to read in their second language. Reading has always been a struggle for many of my students. Reading is not enjoyable and is often times looked at as a chore. I want to change that!

I want to create a space where my students are not frustrated looking for a book that is interesting and on their reading level.

I will be adding 40+ books to my library. The library itself will be getting an upgrade as well! With an inviting and comfortable space to read, I am hoping that they will not want to leave the library!
