My Project

The fourth and fifth grade students participate in Idaho's Battle of the Books each year. This is a great activity for students to read and then compete against other students to test their trivia. I like to have a set of the books for the kids to borrow so they can keep up with the reading. I have them available for students that are not only in my class, but any fourth or fifth grader who is participating.

I have a unique classroom, where students come in and out of my classroom all year.

I am the ALP teacher and students come to my classroom when they have scored higher on tests so I can challenge them and further their thinking. To keep the variety of students' work organized I need folders and notebooks. I have set cubbies for each grade level/class that comes to my room. It is a very fluid process, but keeping organized is key, and folders and notebooks help immensely!

Construction paper gets costly, but I love having it available for the students so they can do projects. I also am in charge of the leadership students at the school and they use construction paper a lot to do projects around the school.
