I currently have 20 students in my class. My students are four & five year-olds that are experiencing a school setting for the first time. They are so excited and full of energy and so eager to learn. We learn our letters and their sounds along with center time where we incorporate play to learn social skills as well as enrich the materials being taught. The children need lots of activities to enrich their minds. Watching their faces as they are discovering and learning is priceless!
My Project
These manipulatives and supplies will be used in my classroom daily. My students learn letters, sounds, shapes, numbers, etc. These supplies will help with that learning and enrich the activities that we do.

My students get free choice centers where they learn through play. This is beneficial for them to incorporate social skills. Dramatic play is a very vital part of their early childhood learning experience and manipulatives such as these wooden blocks and block play people will be beneficial in that learning. My students are also in need materials such as the float & find alphabet bubbles and other alphabet materials to help enrich their learning. The water blocks and sand will be used in our sand/water table. These supplies will help spark creativity in their little minds. The color sorting kit and translucent numbers & letters are great items to help enrich learning as my students start their school experience in pre-k. My students will be so excited to have all these manipulatives to aid in their learning. My goal is for my students to have the best experience in their first year of school and these supplies will help ensure that they do!
