My Project

I am requesting funds in order to implement an exciting initiative in my grade level: introducing class sets of novels designed to engage our students as readers and foster a genuine love of reading.

Research consistently shows that access to quality literature is fundamental to developing strong literacy skills.

By providing our students with engaging novels to read together as a class, we create opportunities for meaningful discussions, collaborative learning, and deeper comprehension. Beyond academic growth, cultivating a love of reading during these formative years equips our young people with a lifelong skill and passion that extends far beyond the classroom.

Strong literacy skills are essential for success across all subjects and in students' future academic and professional endeavors. When students engage with well-chosen literature, they develop critical thinking abilities, expand their vocabulary, and gain exposure to diverse perspectives and experiences. This foundation supports not only their English language arts development, but also their overall educational growth.

With your support, I would be able to purchase classroom sets of three novels. These sets would then be shared among all of the grade level students to support the literacy skills of over 100 students in total!
