This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have wonderful students who love to learn. They are amazing kids who have found a special interest in art. We have been learning about many talented artists and the art culture which has inspired my students. Our classroom could greatly benefit from tools and materials to help take our art lessons to the next level.

My first and second graders are in an urban district and in high poverty.

Art supplies are very limited and have found it difficult to provide my students with hands- on activities where they can explore their own art skills.

Art has captivating their interest and I am determined to nurture their creativity and spark imagination. Obtaining these materials will allow us to create painting sessions and learn how to put their creative skills to a canvas!
