My Project
Purple highlighters. That's the entirety of this project. You may ask yourself, why on earth would an entire project be made up of solely purple highlighters? The answer is simple: my students absolutely love the purple highlighters. It is hands down the favorite color choice for my students.
We use highlighters a lot to make our ideas and information organized and understandable when we're taking notes, which is often throughout the year, and if having a purple highlighter is what gets my students excited and engaged with what they're learning, it's a "Yes" from me.
We practice using a variety of colors as tools, but the purple highlighters always go first and fastest. We use our highlighters for color coding notes and handouts, making information easy visible and clear, and have even used them in some poster projects and community service activities. Having a good supply on hand for my students to use means that we're always ready to go when I say, "Break out the highlighters, we're taking notes!"
