I teach at a Title I school where 100% of the students receive free breakfast and lunches. They all are from low income families. While my students work to their best potential, many of them lack the resources to be able to compete on a higher academic level.
They are always supporting one another by teaching one another during reading/writing and by making their classmate feel better when they are having a bad day.
My students are a joyous group of 5th graders that make me always do more for their learning. I am so happy to have them in my class.
My Project
We know that a stapler is a mechanical device that joins pages of paper together. Staplers are widely used in a business, office, work places, homes and especially schools. The purpose of the stapler in my class is to help my students become organized with their class and homework assignments. It is an essential tool that is vital in my classroom. I am always being asked by my fellow colleagues and students that they want to staple 10 pages together. Unfortunately, the office stapler does not hold all the paper together. By having a heavy duty stapler, students will be able to have their loose sheets together and become organized.
