Looking Deeper into Human Behavior Through Project-Based Learning
My students need computers available to them in the classroom to move towards more student-centered learning and away from a teacher-centered approach.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Chamberlain's classroom raised $764

My Students
Here at DV we have some extremely energized and engaged students who are willing to go the extra mile to learn about a subject more in depth. They enjoy engaging in challenging tasks that require more than just the regurgitation of knowledge, but rather the application of it. They are driven students looking for challenging work in order to prepare themselves for college and beyond. We also have a population that struggles to get engaged in the curriculum and doesn't respond to the good old lecture method. Technology is a key component to make sure they can continue to challenge themselves and will help me engage every student.
My Project
I want the kids to be able to research, communicate, and collaborate digitally as a daily habit.
As pedagogy and curriculum changes, I’m finding it increasingly important to maintain a one-to-one environment to empower kids to interact and research with the psychological worldview.
Many in our population of students have access to the digital world at home. They think digitally. They think to communicate digitally. They research digitally.
By providing Chromebooks in my classroom, I can more wholeheartedly dive into a digital culture and pedagogy without leaving many of my students without computers behind.
By providing these Chromebooks in my classroom, I can engage students where they are and further develop the digital skills that will be required in the 21st century.
