Hello! I am a first-year teacher working with a fantastic group of kindergarten and first graders! All of my students have been diagnosed with with Autism Spectrum Disorder, which drives me to differentiate and tailor my instruction to best meet their needs! However, don't let the diagnosis fool you. My students are full of potential, and I am discovering more of their strengths every single day.
One thing that all of my students have in common is that they have A TON of energy!
Yet they also have challenges regulating their emotions. What a better way to help them cope than with these challenges than with yoga! With your help, my students and I will be well on our way to incorporating daily yoga practice into our instruction!
My Project
The attention span of a 3 year old is almost non-existent. It grows gradually as they get older. With all the technology and fast pace home environmental influences, our young ones are losing the battle of language and social development.
Imagine creating even a picture and having to add words to your own work!
