Help me give my students who have a visual impairment an iPad for the ability to learn with their class.

My Project

My co-taught class includes special education students with different disabilities. A few of my visual impaired students struggle to see the material I provide. The county does not have the resources to give each student a personal tablet or iPad to view their assignments blown up.

Having a classroom iPad will benefit my visually impaired students tremendously.

The iPad has connectivity capabilities with my smart board in the classroom to allow the students to finally see everything and follow along.

When I print assignments in large fonts, my visually impaired students are left out of the learning activity because they can’t follow along. They are made to feel different and stand out. Having the iPad can allow each student to feel a part of the class and lesson. The iPad will allow them to feel in control of their learning and not be a hindrance for asking for help to see.
