This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is our second year in earnest of having our basketball team. This is a club-level team and all workouts, practices, and mentoring are done throughout the day, it's built into our daily schedule.

It is extremely difficult to fundraise for our student-athletes and providing up-to-date gear, clothing, and equipment is absolutely vital.

It shows our kids that they belong to something and attracts people to the team. In addition, some of our athletes come from low-income house hold and cannot afford the annual fees and clothing needed for this upcoming season.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
