Help me give my students a Jumbo Connect-All-4 Game Set, Indoor or Outdoor Game so they have engage in productive play during recess and Fun Fridays at school.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am so grateful for another exciting school year at new school . We are a Title I school district, meaning there is a high economic need in our community.
Due to COVID-19 we are returning to a "new normal" which includes social distancing, face, masks, daily wellness checks, and of educating our students.
Our theme this school year is "The Adventure Begins Here", and it is definitely appropriate because we are now an Early Childhood Education Center.
Our school is unique because of our diverse staff and student body. Our school district can best be described as one happy family. Thirty-three languages are spoken throughout the district. My students are special because they are immersed in an environment where we teach them academics and how to embrace the diverse student body.
Learning is happening all over our school. In the classroom, students are learning required content; however, outside the classroom, students have art, physical education, and music. The students have opportunities to see the ballet, visit the animals at the zoo, attend heritage assemblies, etc. I always say there is never a dull moment at our school and the students enjoy their time
My Project
Physical activity is very important in building a stable/ healthy child. As teachers, we need address the whole child when they are at school. Online learning has made our children less mobile, and we need to make certain our students are moving their bodies when they are here at school. We should not allow technology to replace active play.
As a an avid runner, and a person who enjoys working out, I want my students to develop a love for physical activity sooner than later because it will help their academics, and keep their bodies and minds healthy.
The resources I am requesting will allow me to motivate my students to be active during their recess time. The Jumbo Connect 4 set will allow my students to practice their math skills, fine motor skills and cooperative skills because they will have to work together and understand they have to take turns while they are playing this game. The Alphabet Bowling will help my students who are struggling with their alphabet knowledge retain their letters and sounds. I cannot think of a better way to teach the alphabets during recess time! The Spalding NBA Mini Rubber Outdoor Basketballs will be a great addition to our kindergarten friendly basketball courts that are on our playgroup. The BOHS Egg and Spoon Race Game Set with Yolk and WolVol 18 inch Brightly Colorful Quoits Ring Toss Game Set for Kids will be used during our Fun Fridays. Students can practice hand eye coordination and team building skills which are also useful during their classroom instruction time. Finally, the JOYPRO 2 Pack Kids Jump Ropes and Coolrunner 16 FT Long Jump Rope will give my students a chance to build stamina, social skills, coordination skills.
