Lockers For All

My students need 2 sets of lockers to keep their book bags and jackets in. My students do not have much of their own, and I would like them to have a place that is just for them!

My Students

My class is made up of 12 amazing, eager to learn special needs students. The students always come to school excited each morning with smiles on their faces ready to learn. Many of the students do not have much, but always seem grateful for what they do have and anything I provide to them. Their classroom is a place where I want them to feel safe and comfortable and be a place where they look forward to coming.

My students do not let their disabilities define them and work hard at every task I give them.

I want to give back to them since they give so much to me!

My Project

My students come from low income homes where they have little to call their own. I want to provide them with a place that is just for them, where they can feel a sense of independence and also show them a sense of responsibility. With lockers, they can each have a spot to call their own and learn to take care of their belongings. Currently, they hang their items on the back of their chairs. Many students have made comments that they don't feel like they are in a real high school because they don't even have lockers. My students really deserve this!
