My students come from low income homes where they have little to call their own. I want to provide them with a place that is just for them, where they can feel a sense of independence and also show them a sense of responsibility. With lockers, they can each have a spot to call their own and learn to take care of their belongings. Currently, they hang their items on the back of their chairs. Many students have made comments that they don't feel like they are in a real high school because they don't even have lockers. My students really deserve this!
