My students need a secure place to store and charge classroom Chromebooks.
This project expired on July 28, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students come from high poverty, low socioeconomic backgrounds. Many of them live in low income apartments. One hundred percent of them qualify for government assistance and the federal free lunch program. Many of them are ELL learners and speak English as a second language. However, these barriers do not discourage their love for learning!
These students come to school every day excited and ready to improve their reading and writing.
Their parents are very concerned about their children's education to provide them a better life. Although they are disadvantaged in so many ways, you would never know it by their positive attitudes and eagerness to learn.
Fortunately through Donors Choose, I had a project funded for three, much needed Chromebooks. The kids have loved doing the reading and math apps and I am seeing an improvement in scores. However, storing them can be tricky and keeping a charge through the day is challenging.
Every wise man takes care of his gold.
When you're a teacher, you want to protect your "chrome." This storage cabinet will keep computers locked away safely during after school hours and provide a new charge every morning. The computers will be ready to go, first thing in the morning, with a charge that will last throughout the day. This will allow more students to have access to them at later times of instruction.
Thank you for taking a look at my project and I hope you can help us fund our project!
