My Students

Due to the severe and profound disabilities these students experience, they struggle with daily living skills. They experience difficulty completing tasks, especially tasks involving motor activities.

These students experience physical and mental disabilities.

There are various disabilities displayed-Downs Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, etc. They attend a traditional high school, but are served in a classroom for students with the most severe disabilities.

My Project

The students involved in this project will learn to fold laundry in order to implement a school based laundry business. School staff will be able to bring dirty laundry to school to be cleaned by students in a transition class. These students have disabilities and experience difficulty in completing daily living skills. After this project is funded and implemented students will work on various skills to become successful in adult life.

This project will give students the opportunity to plan and implement a school based, student led business to practice daily living skills, functional academic math skills (working with money),and social skills.

This project will provide students with valuable skills necessary for living independently.
