This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Over the course of the last few years, my students' pile of material has dwindled down to scraps and shreds. This material is very much needed so my students can practice sewing when it comes to creating and repairing costumes.

My students need to replenish their material so that they will be ready for their sewing unit.

I always enjoy teaching the sewing unit as my students find it therapeutic. As they are learning the different stitches and will eventually sew a tote bag or stuffed animal, you can literally hear a needle drop.
