Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our kids come from low socio-economic homes and we want to enhance their experience in school. They do not get to do art projects at home nor do they have the exposure to the types of centers, games, and art materials we provide for them.
Every Friday, we have Fun Friday and our supplies need to be replenished.
We want to have some sticker painting, sun catchers to express our artistic abilities, and popsicle sticks. We ran out of tacky glue which really helps with these projects. My kids really like unicorns, and dinosaurs so I'm super excited about the idea of them being able to recreate a picture using stickers. I'm excited for them to try a new way to paint a picture.
Something we really want to add to our collection are some new math magnetic centers. They are hands-on, fun, and a great way for the kids to show their thinking.
