Our school is a Title I school where the students need more flexible seating options. The bean bag chairs will enable them to be comfortable as they read. The discs are a great way for students with ADHD to self soothe and feel grounded as well as enable them to move without disturbing the other scholars around them. There is nothing better than soaking up a great book in a comfy seat! The wobble chairs will enable our students with special needs to wobble around and self-regulate their behavior. The bean bags, discs, and wobble chairs can turn into a center for students as they are reading, writing, or doing math. By giving students different seating options their behavior will improve, they will be able to focus better, they will want to learn and best of all they will not be distracting those around them. We have to take the whole child into consideration in a classroom as well as those around them. Why not sit in something comfortable as you read? When we come home to watch tv, we don't sit in a hard chair or on the floor, we gravitate towards something comfy. Your donation is greatly appreciated and although it will reach 32 kids this year, it will reach many more as the years progress. On behalf of my co-teacher and myself, we want to thank you in advance for improve the lives of our students in our ICT classroom!
