My Project

Our east classroom is a place where students don't just learn about technology; they use technology to solve real problems, serve their community, and create meaningful projects for real clients. Our students produce videos, operate livestreams, create graphics, edit news broadcasts, build websites, document community events, and develop digital media projects that reach audiences far beyond our classroom.

But right now, our students are being held back by something as simple as a computer.

Our current laptop is several years old and is no longer capable of reliably running the modern software our students need. Video editing, livestreaming, graphic design, motion graphics, and other technology-based projects require significantly more processing power than our current equipment can provide. Software updates are increasingly incompatible with our existing laptop, leaving students waiting on slow rendering, dealing with crashes, or unable to use newer tools altogether.

A powerful, up-to-date laptop would completely change what is possible in our east classroom.

This laptop would become a shared production workstation for our students. They would use it to produce our school news program, edit high-quality video, create promotional media for community partners, operate livestreams for school events, and develop professional digital projects. Most importantly, students would gain hands-on experience using the same types of technology and creative software used in real-world careers.

Our east students are incredibly capable and incredibly creative. They have the ideas, the motivation, and the willingness to learn. What they are missing is the up-to-date technology powerful enough to keep up with them.

Our students are learning to communicate, collaborate, problem-solve, lead, and create. A powerful laptop will help remove one of the biggest barriers standing between their ideas and what they are capable of producing.
