This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school will have a music class for the first time in history! My school is a high-poverty school and our students are in great need. Our population is very diverse and rich in many different cultures. Our English as a Second Language is one of the largest in the district having students from almost all continents. The students at our elementary are passionate, hard-working, and devoted.

The goal of our school is to build excellence and challenge kids, and that is just what we do!

My students can't wait to experience the magic of music and relate it to the other academic areas! It's going to be fun!

My Project

The accompanist will work with the students to be able to make music LIVE. It will be an interactive concert and a collective work between the student's choir and the piano.

My students have never perform with a live accompanist because lack of funds at my school.

It is in these concert opportunities my young musicians of various backgrounds can realize their potential with the dignity of a professional musician.

This will be a great experience not only for students but also for the audience that will be mostly parents and family of my at risk students. It will a complete musical experience for all!
