This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our classroom is full of 21st century learners. We want to learn with technology!

Our class is made up of a very diverse set of learners.

70% of the class are English language learners. 100% of the students are on free lunch. Many students do not have access to technology at home. School is where they get the exposure they need to become learners in today's technology-driven world. Technology is very exciting and interesting to students. I want to make sure my students love technology as much as I do! Please help us in reaching our goals.

My Project

Our next thematic unit is about life cycles and ecosystems. By studying live butterflies through their life cycle, my students will be able to have a deeper, more real understanding of this concept. They will be more excited and motivated to learn through this hands on approach. In our unit, students will be learning about wolves and condors. It will be great to have a deluxe butterfly habitat kit so that students can observe butterflies as well to broaden their understanding and learning. I think my students will really enjoy observing and studying the life cycle of the butterflies and when they are excited it makes for a more rich learning environment.
