My students need six hands-on science learning centers! These centers will be perfect for allowing the students to explore independently while I work with small groups!
When you were in school, do you remember reading about science or doing science? We want to DO science!
We have a wonderfully diverse group of Kindergarten students in an urban area at a huge elementary school!
They always want to be busy learning and exploring new things! About 3/4 of the students in my class are learning English as their second language so they really benefit from hands-on activities!
These six Lakeshore learning centers will be great for small groups of learners to explore with independently during a science center time. We have found that our students with diverse needs really benefit from working with the teacher in small groups. In order to do this, we need to find activities that Kindergarten students can do independently. These science centers will be engaging for the students and allow them to develop their scientific vocabulary by talking with other students as they use them.
We need to get kids excited about science from the time they start school in Kindergarten!
These science learning centers will help build positive experiences and create future scientists!
