My Project

All of the students who will be accessing and utilizing these materials have special needs. They love opportunities to learn through exploring and creating. Even those students who may struggle to focus or work during group instruction (large and/or small) are able to focus while they engage in art experiences.

The sensory items, especially the bins, are tools that I can use with individual students to help them calm down and/or focus.

I did include 2 of the Montessori round containers I felt could be wonderful for my students who finish their work early. There are usually one or two after small groups end each day.

Each day in my classroom (I have two sessions am/pm), we have sensory and art experiences prepared for the students which is why I ordered the larger sets of crayons, markers, glue sticks and paint. We go through a lot of materials each year! Art is fun and a good way to engage with my students. It is so enjoyable watching how they explore and what they create.
