Your thoughtful contribution will have an immediate and lasting impact on our classrooms, and we are truly grateful for your support. It is because of kind and community-minded individuals like you that we are able to continue creating a rich, engaging, and well-prepared learning environment for our young students.\r\n\r\nA laminator may seem like a simple piece of equipment, but in a preschool setting, it is an incredibly valuable tool. It allows our teachers to create durable, reusable learning materials that can withstand daily use by little hands. From alphabet cards and number charts to visual schedules, matching games, and hands-on activity pieces, laminated materials help us provide consistent and interactive learning experiences. Your gift will help ensure that these resources last longer, remain clean, and are accessible to many groups of children over time.\r\n\r\nBeyond durability, the laminator also helps us enhance the creativity and flexibility of our teaching. Our educators are constantly designing new activities tailored to the needs and interests of their students. With this laminator, they can quickly create customized materials that support different learning styles, reinforce key concepts, and encourage independent exploration. This means more engaging lessons, more opportunities for hands-on learning, and more moments of discovery for the children in our care.\r\n\r\nYour generosity also helps us use our resources more efficiently. By preserving materials through lamination, we reduce the need to frequently replace worn-out items, allowing us to allocate funds to other important areas such as books, art supplies, and classroom experiences. In this way, your single contribution continues to give back in multiple ways, supporting both our teachers and students every day.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, your gift directly benefits the children. At the preschool level, learning is deeply connected to interaction, repetition, and play. Having high-quality, long-lasting materials makes it easier for children to engage confidently and independently. Whether they are practicing letter recognition, sorting shapes, or following a daily routine, these tools help build foundational skills that will support their future learning. Your contribution is helping create those small but meaningful moments that shape a child's early educational journey.\r\n\r\nWe also want you to know that your kindness does not go unnoticed. Acts of generosity like yours strengthen our sense of community and remind us that we are supported by people who believe in the importance of early childhood education. It inspires both our staff and families, and it sets a wonderful example of giving and care.\r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you for your thoughtful and impactful gift. We are incredibly appreciative of your support and the difference it will make in our classrooms each and every day. Your generosity is helping us provide a nurturing, creative, and effective learning environment for our preschoolers, and for that, we are truly thankful.","fullyFundedDate":1764689011911,"projectUrl":"project/laminating-for-learning/9810736/","projectTitle":"Laminating for Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Birch","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7192118_orig.jpg?crop=721,721,x0,y237&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1589307544832","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/teachersarahinsped"},{"teacherId":7053870,"projectId":9917536,"letterContent":"This project was a game-changer for our classroom, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. \r\nI see my students able to listen to lessons for the first time in a long time, and it is because they have sensory fidgets and materials to keep their wee hands busy. Neurodivergent struggles are real and often stigmatized. Respecting their high-energy brains and bodies keeps them engaged and learning. \r\nI also have to mention that we did not anticipate the good time it would be for me and my staff to put the sensory bins together. \r\nI guess it's not only the kids who benefit from soothing textures and compelling items in small boxes. \r\nThank you again.","fullyFundedDate":1764689072178,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-bins-to-help-us-keep-learning/9917536/","projectTitle":"Sensory Bins to Help Us Keep learning.","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Christina","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7053870_orig.jpg?crop=1008,1008,x0,y858&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741969933220","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/teacher-christina"},{"teacherId":8811167,"projectId":9935755,"letterContent":"Once again I would like to say how grateful I am that you chose to help fund my project! There are times that there are 4-5 students all at one table playing slime. That is something (peer proximity) that many students struggle with but when there is slime involved, they don't seem to mind. \r\nThey have also especially loved the new books. Many of my students refuse to eat school lunch and breakfast so we do allow them to look at books as they are required to stay in their seat. The water bubblers, wiggle cushions, and chewables were a big hit, and the sound puzzles are always fun and engaging to use with the students. We have been able to utilize so many new things from our project that it is hard to list everything, but our students have loved learning about all the different items that they can use in OT sessions and in class to help them stay regulated and engaged. \r\n\r\nOur current project is being able to address students' needs effectively in their classrooms, helping them to improve their fine motor and sensory processing skills. When I notice that a student may be sad or mad, we look at the pictures, choose the corresponding squishy emotion fidget and talk about how we can work towards feeling happy again.\r\nMy students also loved the musical instruments which we used when be read Rap a Tap, Tap. They have also been helpful with our phonemic awareness with tapping out syllables and tuning into specific sounds. \r\nThe exciting thing is, I still have some materials that we have yet to use as I ordered them according to different units. Next week we start dinosaurs for two weeks and I am excited to introduce the dinosaur sensory set so that they can explore dinosaurs in a different way than just manipulating the plastic ones.\r\nBy far, my students' favorite items are the putty slime and the butter slime. They are small and easily accessible, and they are visual, so students know exactly how much time is left on it. They have been essential for us. \r\nWe also received supplies to make schedules. This might seem like a small thing, but my students this year NEED a visual cue to get them where they need to go next. And the sad fact is, there was a lot of trial and error in getting the schedules right, so, knowing we had the stuff to redo as needed was really helpful. \r\n\r\nThank you, thank you. \r\nThank you for trusting us teachers with your donations and for trusting us to know what our students need. \r\nIt means so much.","fullyFundedDate":1755691009020,"projectUrl":"project/new-kindergarten-needs-new-supplies/9516643/","projectTitle":"New Kindergarten needs New Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Christina","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7053870_orig.jpg?crop=1008,1008,x0,y858&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741969933220","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/teacher-christina"},{"teacherId":6916059,"projectId":9481195,"letterContent":"The books donated to our preschool are the foundation to our Read it Again Literacy Program. Our teachers do great incorporating visual, auditory, tactile and motor experiences while reading. One book that was loved was Rap a Tap Tap. This collection of books about emotional regulation has helped me reach 5 separate classrooms since then, with children ages 3-6 years. \r\nLast spring, I introduced the books, particularly the ones about anxiety, as I had some very young students struggling with crippling anxiety, and I had a tough time relating my grown-up anxiety to what they were going through. The books gave a relatable character for them to listen to and explain the feelings on their level. \r\nThis school year I have slightly older kids. They love the colors of the spots. They thrill at checking in with their feelings. They do it several times a day. It is amazing to see them truly consider what their emotion is in the moment. Even when they are very angry or distressed. That's hard for me to do! \r\nMostly, though, they love the breathing exercises the book outlines.
