Our historic high school is looking for YA books to fill our little library! We recently had two Free Little Libraries donated to be created and designed by our art students. The students collaborated, came up with two designs, and created imagery to reflect those themes. Our Outer Space theme little library is headed out to a community center here in The Ville to serve the community as a whole, while our Sumner themed little library will be placed right in front of our school. I would love to be able to keep this little library stocked with current and impactful YA books for our students in hopes they can improve their reading skills at home and through the summer.
Here at Sumner we are always trying to improve literacy for our students and access to these books will play a huge part in that.
Some genres they are into currently are sports, anime, YA horror, and any book where they can see themselves reflected in the characters.
Help our students reach all of their literacy needs!
