This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Literacy should be accessible for all students; unfortunately, our local libraries are miles away making the power and magic of reading inaccessible.

Sadly, many of our students read below grade level and lack access to books in their homes.

By placing little libraries in the neighborhood around our school, we hope to give students access to the joy and magic of reading.

We also hope that by establishing little libraries that are convenient and accessible to our families and students we can promote literacy and a healthy community at the same time.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
