Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students are in second grade and are curious and playful. With an inviting space, they can focus on learning and continue to explore new things in literature. This year, we include small group intervention for our reading group corner, a comfortable space to welcome students. I’m requesting several items to help create a calm space for our small group instruction in my classroom. My students need a new rug and flexible seating where they can comfortably sit instead of chairs and tables while working on their reading skills throughout the year.
