Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom is made up of 3, 4, and 5 year olds. My students do not have access to many books at home, many have never visited a library. Early Childhood campuses do not have extensive libraries or even a librarian.

My young learners need a variety of books to read and will benefit from access to a wider book selection.

The books will provide opportunities to extend their vocabulary, read with friends, and add to the academic experience.

Our job is foster a love of reading. Increasing the number of books provides options for new readers to choose. You can not become a good reader without having books to read.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
